Garbage Pickup

Recycling and trash removal is handled by the Village of Sturtevant. John's Disposal is the waste removal vendor for the village. Garbage is to be placed in the appropriately labelled brown bins. All items to be recycled may be combined in the green bins.

To prevent damage to cars parked in driveways, please store your garbage bins in your garage, especially if you are away from home for any extended periods of time.

Trash day is Thursday unless there was a holiday during the week, then trash pickup occurs on Friday. Recyclables will be picked up every other week.

The garbage schedule can be found on the village's Public Works website.

"Ruud" Neighbors?

The Village of Sturtevant has asked us to please report any suspicious or illegal behavior (parking, littering, trespassing, etc.) to the village police department at 262-886-7208. Vehicle desciptions and license plate numbers are always helpful. Thank you for helping to keep our neighborhood a great place to live!

The Washington Highlands web site

The website is slowly taking shape, as it is being maintained by the board members on a volunteer basis at a cost of eight dollars per year. To keep costs down, we're using a free hosting service that, unfortunately, started placing third party advertisements at the top of our web site. These advertisements are completely random and have no affiliation with Washington Highlands or any of its residents, so take what you see at the top of the page with a grain of salt, or ignore it altogether. Thanks for your patience. The look and feel will evolve over the coming months. Send feedback to washingtonhighlands@gmail.com.
