Garage Door Replacement Make and Model

Jim's Garage Door Service (jimsgaragedoor@gmail.com) has identified the make and model of the Phase 1 (units without fireplaces) garage doors. Trouble is, the original builder used two different makes and models in 1995, and many have been replaced by unit owners since then.  Some doors are a Haas RMT 680. Jim's can replace just the bottom door panel of the Haas for about $400.  Other doors (including the doors that were originally white and were painted almond by the builder) are an Amarr Lincoln 3000. It costs about $2,600 to replace a two car garage door.

If this is unavailable, Troy at Advanced Garage Door Service (262-886-3636) was able to identify a close substitute to the make and model of a garage door that is a close match to our current garage doors: The Safe-Way Model 65.

Paint Color Codes

All paint colors are Benjamin Moore Exterior paint, although Sherwin Williams has the ability to color match competitor codes. Exterior surfaces that are painted non-standard colors may be repainted at the owner's expense. Storm Door Strips

A neighbor was able to identify a vendor who sells those stupid plastic strips that keep the storm door window in place. The vendor is Gerkin Windows and Doors in Sioux City, Iowa, 800-475-5061. The part number is v11701-AM. The width is 29 inches, and the height is 68.5 inches. Let them know that the color you want is Almond. The cost is about $43.

Storm Door Replacement

Because the storm doors date back to 1995, the manufacturer and model are unknown. Storm doors were optional when these condominiums were initially offered for sale in 1996, and are therefore not required. If you choose to have a storm door, or need to replace your existing storm door, care must be taken to keep as much uniformity as possible. The color must be almond. The paint color code for the storm door can be found on this page. If you have any questions, please contact us at washingtonhighlands@gmail.com beforehand. A suitable replacement has been found at Home Depot: the Andersen 2000 series in Almond. Please make sure the measurements are appropriate for your application.
